Concert Accompanist - Lisa Cheadle

Lisa started playing piano and tenor horn at the age of 7 having been born into a "Salvation Army" family where music was a very large part of family life. At school she learnt the French horn and now regularly plays both piano and French horn in many local groups, as well as singing in her own vocal group, Musicology.

She is in high demand to accompany Associated Music Board exams and is employed by Suffolk County Council as an Accompanist, regularly accompanying County Music exams and auditions. Lisa also enjoys local Musical Theatre and has recently performed in the pit orchestras for Spamalot (Company of Four), Guys & Dolls (Cutting Edge Theatre Company) and Dick Whittington (Company of Four).

Lisa joined the Ipswich Gilbert & Sullivan Society as a member of the alto section in 1990 and enjoyed many concerts/years with them, before leaving around 8 years later to follow other interests.

Married to Mark they have an 8 yr old son, William. Last year Lisa completed a degree in English Language & Literature with the Open University. With her hunger for learning, she has just started to learn to play the ‘cello, an instrument she has been keen to play for a number of years!
