It's hardly necessary to introduce The Gondoliers. It’s one of the two most popular of all the shows, and, of course, tells the story of how Don Alhambra abducts the King of Barataria and arranges for him to be brought up as a Gondolier. The opening chorus is perhaps the best piece of chorus music in the whole of the G&S operas, and the show has some absolutely wonderful songs: Take a pair of sparkling eyes; In enterprise of martial kind; I stole the Prince; When a merry maiden marries; etc. etc.
It's so popular, we advise you to book as soon as possible!
